Learn More about Kara
Kara supports clients across the lifespan—including children (ages 10 and up), teens, college students, and adults—navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulties with emotional regulation, life transitions, and family stressors. She enjoys helping individuals better understand how unresolved stress or past trauma influences their core beliefs, personal patterns, and family dynamics so they can make intentional changes, develop healthier coping strategies, and create lives that feel more balanced and authentic. She also works closely with parents, offering practical guidance and support to help families feel more connected and effective in their parenting.
Her clinical approach smoothly integrates traditional talk therapy with somatic techniques and holistic lifestyle factors, recognizing that mental and physical health are deeply connected. To support the whole person, Kara anchors her work in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while utilizing targeted central nervous system strategies. As a Level 1 trained Brainspotting clinician currently pursuing full certification, she incorporates Polyvagal Theory to help individuals safely process trauma, manage stress, and feel more grounded. Additionally, drawing on advanced workshop training in nutrition, Kara guides clients in exploring how lifestyle elements like sleep, exercise, and nourishment impact their overall emotional well-being. Kara strives to create a warm, collaborative, and safe environment where clients of all ages feel understood and empowered to grow.
