Learn More about Dr. Dlamini
In my therapy practice I treat a variety of issues including anxiety, mood disorders (depression, bipolar, etc.), identity issues and difficulties with navigating between the stages of life. I have extensive experience treating youth and adults dealing with stressors related to cognitive (ADHD) and learning difficulties (specified learning difficulties). I treat teenagers (15 & up) and adults. Inclusivity is an important part of my practice, as life stressors do not discriminate. I work with multicultural populations on issues related acculturation, identity and much more. I also work with youth and young adults in the LGBTQ+ community. Finding a therapist who can tailor treatment specifically for your needs is paramount. My approach to therapy is integrative and focuses on the patient as an individual. Together, we will create a relationship that is collaborative, with the goal of increasing healthy coping strategies and reigniting a positive, yet realistic outlook on life. Approaches I have used include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brain Spotting, Interpersonal Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and Family Therapy.
I also specialize in providing comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations (ages 6 - 99) and in diagnosing a broad range of psychological difficulties to assist in recommending appropriate interventions. This includes Bariatric Psychological Evaluations, and psychological evaluations and therapeutic services for Twice Exceptional (2E) and gifted youth. I am very passionate about ensuring that students with special needs are provided with efficient academic accommodations that will ensure their academic success. It is my observation that when these needs are not met, the likelihood of youth developing secondary emotional and behavioral issues increases significantly. I have experience and I am available to participate in accommodation meetings for the youth I have evaluated.

Therapy and Consultations
Initial intake interviews for therapy consultations last 60 minutes and are billed at a flat fee of $300. The hourly rate for follow-up consultations and therapy sessions is $190.
Evaluations:
Families who are interested in exploring possible learning disorders (e.g., dyslexia, math disorder, writing challenges, etc.) or want to learn about their child’s academic strengths and challenges will need to schedule an academic evaluation.
Our psychologists can provide additional guidance and recommendations regarding academic evaluations during the initial intake appointment for families that are unsure about whether their child may need an academic evaluation. Many psychologists provide a limited range of testing that results in a 5 – 10 page report. At Safety Harbor, we specialize in comprehensive evaluations based on 20 years of experience. As a result, our reports range from 20 to 30 pages and contain in-depth analysis and recommendations.
Initial intake interviews for evaluations last 60 minutes, typically involve only the parent(s), and are billed at a flat fee of $300.
The total cost of testing varies based on the type of evaluation required. Evaluations are uniquely tailored to the needs of each patient based upon the results of the intake session. If a decision is made that an evaluation is not needed, the only charge will be for the intake appointment.
A detailed cost estimate for the evaluation will be provided following the initial intake appointment. The following are typical total fees:
Academic Evaluation (5 – 10 pages): $300
Readiness or Giftedness Evaluation (2 – 6 pages): $1,225 - $1,825
Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation (20+ pages including evaluation of emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning): $1.925 - $3,255
Evaluation costs are based upon the amount of time required to complete each of the following tasks:
Review of records (varies depending upon amount of records)
Consult with outside providers (varies depending upon the number of outside providers)
Face-to-face testing (averages between 4 - 8 hours)
Scoring of testing materials (averages between 1 - 2 hours)
Results interpretation and report writing (averages between 4 - 8 hours)
Patient/parent feedback session (normally 60 - 90 minutes).
A one-time materials fee of $80 is charged for all testing and is not covered by insurance.
A $500 documentation fee is charged for Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations due to the extra length and complexity of these reports. This fee is also not covered by insurance.
Insurance companies typically do not cover academic evaluations as they are not considered to be a“medically necessary” service. Your insurance may cover some or all of your evaluation charges. Please reach out to your insurance to check your in-network benefits, out-of-network benefits, coverage, and limitations for psychological and neuropsychological testing. For clients paying out-of-network, we also provide superbills to clients who wish to submit them to their insurance companies for possible reimbursement

A detailed good-faith estimate of services will be provided to those clients not using insurance at the time of service or upon request.
