Jessica Henkel, LCSW

Jessica Henkel earned her undergraduate degree from Elon University and went on to the University of Maryland, Baltimore, for her Master's in Clinical Social Work. She began her own private practice, Henkel Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, in 2021.  

Jessica, her husband, and their four children love living in the Lake Norman area. As a foster family, they may occasionally be found with additional family members, which is always an adventure! Jessica loves reading historical fiction and thrillers, going for hikes and bike rides, and spending time with loved ones. 

Jessica specializes in helping with:

  • Teens and Adult Individuals

  • Specialization in Anxiety Disorders

  • Utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) for Trauma-Related Disorders

Jessica works with older teens and adults. Jessica has over twenty years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment services, schools, and outpatient settings. She has received postgraduate training through the International OCD Foundation, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Jessica is also trained in Level 2 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) for trauma treatment.    

Jessica is fully licensed to practice in North Carolina.

Jessica is licensed to practice in South Carolina as a telehealth provider only. ​

  • Jessica offers daytime appointments on Tuesdays and Fridays.

  • ​Jessica is eager to meet with you in person or via telehealth for your counseling experience.

    Jessica provides individual and family sessions.

  • Non-insurance rates are as follows:
    ​  Assessments/Initial Evaluations: $200/hour
    Individual therapy hours thereafter: $175/hour

    Henkel Counseling and Consulting, PLLC maintains contracts with the above insurance companies. 

    If you are using in-network insurance, your rates will differ based on those contracts.

  • No Surprises Act

    A detailed good-faith estimate of services will be provided to those clients not using insurance ​at the time of service or upon request.
